Autumn Apple Spice Bars

Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 23 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes

These Autumn Apple Spice Bars are delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 4 tbsp butter softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup raisins optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°.
  2. Mix all ingredients in one large bowl.
  3. In a greased 8"x8" baking pan, spread the batter.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a fork comes out clean.
  5. When cooled, cut into 2" x 1" bars, and serve warm.
  6. Optionally, you could drizzle these with caramel sauce or even frost them with cream cheese frosting.
