Am I Crazy to Feel This Way About a Dog? #sharethejoy

Let me first say that there is no way I would ever choose her over my own flesh and blood, but she ranks pretty high.  After all, there is no back talking outta this one. LOL!

Annie is my only little girl. Those expressive black-rimmed eyes and her inquisitive rounded drop ears get me every time. Without question she is independent and an equal in this house. I confess I am totally in love with her. For her I give the best. She doesn’t just have dog food, she has dog cuisine – and I am her maître’d! My heart was stolen by a tiny little ball of black and white fur. Don’t tell anyone of my boys that I said this, but she is truly my heart. She is supposed to belong to them, but she is 100% mine.

From the beginning, I have bought Annie the best puppy dog food I can find. Only brands with ingredients I can recognize and only then when real meat is the highest percentage of ingredients. She grew fast that first year; I could almost see her growing. I discovered that tiny breed puppies tend to get thirsty quickly, especially after some good play time. Occasionally, I would feed her some quality canned puppy food, along with her water of course, since wet dog food has much higher water content than dry kibble.

Now that she is the queen of the house I have even decided to start making healthy dog treats at home! The only time I won’t let her have a human quality treat is if it’s chocolate, or some other dangerous-for-dogs food (although I may be inclined to “remove” those temptations for myself).

Annie, is my sweetie! Ricky says she is spoiled because if he comes looking for me of a lazy morning, Annie is curled up beside me in bed with her little tiny head on my arm and my arm around her.

Although I'm the crazy cat lady with my 2 'boyfriends', Peter and Jack, my daughter has my grand puppy who is named Annie. She loves her Grandma and I love her. People are (I am) crazy about their animals. They give love in a way no one else can. :) <3

I am right there with you! I was just thinking about Googling, how many other people really love their pup like a family member?! I just love my 2 dogs so much :)! They eat very well too lol. My dogs have me wrapped around their little paws.

You are not crazy at all. I have 5 dogs and they are my lovies. I adore them. They each have their own personality. I love that they give you unconditional love which is something humans cannot always do.

OMG, I am the SAME way!! Every night I cuddle with Sparky (my pavement special) and Cecil (my half-pincher/half-chihuahua) sleeps at my feet under the covers. They prefer me over their dad and I have a total soft spot for them! My son will grow up and no longer look at me like I'm the coolest thing in the world but my dogs will always look at me like I'm the only person in their world. You are not crazy - you are totally on the ball!!! I wish there were more pet parents like you!

I have 8 cats and 3 dogs and they are my children, so no, you are not crazy at all. I wish all pet parents were like you.
