Happy to meet you! I’m Jen, a first-time mom living in MN with my husband Jason, our son Levi, and our 3 dogs – Bailey, Kahlua, and JD. Though I often question why I live in a state where snow plows often outnumber cars on the highway, being close to family and friends makes the wacky winter weather tolerable.
Levi is a full blown toddler and the light of my life. He is my SuperMom motivation. I’m a boring business analyst by day, college student by night, and rockstar mommy ‘round the clock. I don’t have a cool costume like batman or spiderman, but I do carry around a burp cloth and I know how to use it.
My husband Jason is pretty darn awesome, too. We’ve been married for 3 years, and I can honestly say that I love him even more now than I did when we met 5 years ago. He’s a wonderful father and a great partner. His dream job is to be a stay-at-home-dad, which says a lot about how much he loves our son. Until we win the lottery, he works full time as a painter (walls, not canvases).
Our four-legged kids are part of the family, which means they love to be wherever we are, especially at night. We have pillow monsters and blanket ghosts at our house. Bailey & Kahlua, our Chihuahuas, love to burrow and you never know when a quilt might start to move or bark. It’s a good thing we have a king size bed since JD, our pit bull, is a definitely a bed hog. He likes to sprawl out and stretch his paws as far as he can while he sleeps.
