Mother’s Day Gift Ideas from your Toddler

Moms truly are heroes, and Mothering Sunday is the best way to show them just how amazing they really are.

If your kids don’t have their own teeth yet let alone bank accounts, as mum’s partner, you’re no doubt in charge of the gift. Therefore something simple and reasonably priced would be very appealing, as well as something fairly quick to do/make. Check out my other  gift ideas for everyone as well.

Fun (and simple) crafts

Kids love being arty (and messy) so a good way to keep both them and mum happy on Mother’s Day is to have them put their art skills to great use. There are so many craft ideas out there that the possibilities will be endless. It could be anything from a pretty picture by your little artists which you could frame, to paper flowers and keep sake boxes.

Homemade cakes, biscuits or brownies

If your little one(s) are slightly older, and have started school perhaps, baking some goodies for mum is a lovely idea (as long as you clean up the kitchen afterwards). There are loads of child-friendly recipes out there to try so they’re not too difficult and don’t have too many ingredients which will make things a heck of a lot easier if you or your kids aren’t quite the next Jamie Oliver. They’ll no doubt absolutely love giving their mum something they’ve made themselves too.

Photo upload gifts

Probably the simplest option for a special and personalized gift is to get an item that you can upload your own photos to. For example, a mug, phone case or t-shirt with her favorite picture on with the kids is sure to make her laugh. You can get good photo gifts from http://www.myphotogifts.co.uk/ quite cheaply, too. You could have the kids hold up a sign to their mum and take a picture of that and use it for something a bit more special.

Hand or foot print gifts

Mums absolutely adore looking back at pictures or molds of their little one’s hands or feet when they were teeny, so either prints or molds of them would make the perfect gift. The great thing about this as well is that you can buy a professional kit or do it yourself, so it can be suitable if money is a little tight, too.

Upcycled artwork

Upcycling is the latest craze when it comes to furniture and fashion, but what about your kids’ masterpieces? You could take a big picture of their latest creations and edit and frame it so that it looks like a modern piece of art! Things like transforming a colorful picture into black and white or focusing in on a particular pattern that they’ve created can be surprisingly effective and mum will no doubt be so surprised at both of your creativity!
