God’s Messages for Little Ones by Max Lucado
God’s Messages for Little Ones is a unique 31-day devotional for young children. In this devotional, God speaks of his love and dedication to his youngest believers through words from The Story for Children by Max Lucado, Randy Frazee, and Karen Hill. With God’s words of love and a thoughtful reflection, children will learn more about how they fit perfectly into God’s story when they use this devotional as part of their daily prayer time.
You are never too young to talk with God!
This 31-day devotional, using the words of Max Lucado, Randy Frazee, and Karen Hill in The Story for Children, guiding young children to the knowledge that they are a special and an important part of God’s story of love for the world
Finding a good, simple daily devotional for kids can be a challenge. If it’s too long they lose interest, if it’s too short they get nothing out of it. This 31 day devotional is perfect for my one year old and three year old boys. The devotionals are short and easy to understand, while also keeping in mind the rather short attention spans of young children.
Each day consists of a bible verse, a short real life explanation and a section titled, “God Says to me…”. The devotional works it’s way through the bible using key moments from history to teach our little ones about God’s enormous love. I also like that they include a section at the back called the “ABC’s of Salvation”, where they go through the alphabet giving a word that starts with each letter and verse to back it up, for example A is All people are sinners. (Romains 3:23) and then it explains further by saying, Everyone has sinned. No one measures up to God’s glory. I love this! The illustrations throughout the book are kid friendly and really well done, depicting the scene for the day’s devotional. This is a great book for introducing your child to God and building a strong devotional habit for the future.
