Learning the Preschool Alphabet

This fun apple activity is a hands-on activity they’re going to love! Not only will they learn about the letter A, but they’ll also get to work on their counting skills, too.

**note, there’s a printable version of this near the bottom of the post. 🙂

What You Need:

  • Apples, cut in half
  • Red, Yellow, or Green Paint
  • Paper

What You Do:

We used a piece of card stock with the number 1-10 written on it because we were also practicing counting.

Have them put their half of the apple in the paint and then press the apples on the numbers and say them out loud as they do so.

Not working on counting? You could write upper and lower case A’s on the paper and have your child do one in red and the other in green. Get creative to make it fun!

They’ll love using their hands and minds and it’s a great way to learn about the letter A.

While they’re doing this fun activity, work on some of these other preschool unit study activities below. They’ll love singing the songs!

As the parent of a young child or children, you may know that keeping craft supplies on hand is helpful in keeping them engaged and stimulated.
