Just in time for the Summer Games, American Girl’s newest feature-length movie, An American Girl: McKenna Shoots for the Stars is a modern original story about a young and talented gymnast that turns her trials in school into triumph at the gym.
This movie is inspired by the beloved AG line of dolls and features McKenna, the celebrated 2012 Girl of the Year. Talented actors such as Oscar nominee, Nia Vardalos, Jade Pettyjohn, Ian Ziering, Kerris Dorsey, and former Olympic gymnast Cathy Rigby are part of the starting cast. Nia Vardalos is known for her role in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. This movie helps “girls learn to believe not only in family and friends but also themselves.”
This film is available only at Wal-Mart or the American Girl retail stores and online in Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD. It can also be purchased to download digitally by several online retailers. I am also happy to give one luck reader of 3 Boys and a Dog the opportunity to win a copy of your own.

I like the games on American Girl site. Especially the Historical ones. Addy is our fave because my daughter loves teh Civil War era.

I checked out the website and I think I would get one of the historical dolls for my classroom. I have the Molly doll from when I was young – I might get Addy or Kit.

My daughter checks American girl website all the time! She has been begging for McKenna. She really into gymnastics herself somewhen she saw all the accessories she comes with, she wants them all…but especially the tiny books…bc they are copies my daughter already has & read too
