Once you put the cheese on top of each pork chop, you’re so close to enjoying every bite!

My boys love when the cheese is melted just enough to provide a soft and perfectly balanced outer crust of the pork. I have to agree – I love adding the mozzarella cheese on top and on each side of the pork!

Mozzarella pork rounds are a type of fried pork dish that originates from Italy. The dish is made by coating pork tenderloin in a mixture of breadcrumbs, Mozzarella cheese, and eggs, then frying it until the outside is crispy and the inside is cooked through.

You can easily recreate this delicious Italian classic with just a few ingredients and a bit of time.

Can you use other types of cheese?

While mozzarella is the traditional cheese used on pork rounds, there are a number of other options that can also be delicious.

Provolone, for instance, is a flavorful cheese that can add a bit of spice to the dish.

Parmesan is another good choice, as it adds a creamy richness that can complement the pork nicely.

Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference, so feel free to experiment with different types of cheese until you find one that you like.

Just remember that the cheese you choose should be able to withstand the high heat of the oven. Otherwise, it will simply melt away and leave you with an unappetizing mess.

Can you make this recipe using chicken breasts?

You bet! When it comes to making substitutions in recipes, chicken breasts are a good option for those who do not eat pork.

While the two types of meat have different textures, chicken breasts can be cooked in a way that makes them tender and moist. In addition, chicken breasts are generally lower in fat than pork, making them a healthier option.

When substituting chicken breasts for pork in a recipe, it is important to cook the chicken until it is fully cooked through.

Pork can be served slightly pink, but chicken must be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure safety.

Use a meat thermometer and verify that the internal temperature of the chicken breast is at least 165 degrees.
