I have always wanted movie-star curls, but I have pin-straight, crazy-thick hair. Curling irons are okay, but they take forever and I feel like the metal damages my hair. So I’ve been on the hunt for a good set of hot rollers.
When I tried out the Conair Xtreme Instant Heat Multisized Hot Rollers, I was pretty impressed! I liked how soft the rollers were, and how quickly they heated up! The Xtreme Instant Heat rollers have a 75 second heat up. This is perfect, because for how thick my hair is, I have to use double the rollers. Essentially, I have to use each roller twice. So to do my hair I section it off into two chunks (top and bottom), curl the bottom, then curl the top. I love that I can just throw the rollers in, go answer a few emails or get the kids dressed, take the heated clips out and bam! Done!
The set includes 20 ceramic multi-sized rollers: 8 jumbo rollers, 6 large rollers, and 6 medium rollers and 20 lightweight heated clips. There’s three spaces to keep clips heated, so you’ll just have to add a “cold” clip whenever you remove a hot one in order to use this feature. It’s really neat, though! The pink rings stay cool, but I did burn my fingers a bit, which is to be expected. Nothing too terrible — the rollers are just hot!
Here’s me after a super quick curl. This took me about ten minutes. I can get really defined curls if I work at it and take my time, but these are perfect for running to the store and taking the kids to school!

Hot rollers are the only thing that work in my hair as it’s fine and does NOT like to hold a curl. THese would be perfect!
