Peanut Butter Cookies with Cheerios Recipe

Sharing is caring!

sendcheer

So, last week, I told you about this awesome new promotion from Cheerios and USO, this week I get to share my shopping trip, Zack’s letter to the Military, and a really good recipe! This is one of my favorite yummy cookie recipes!

So, I went to Walmart with my Mom (I don’t think I have EVER been to Walmart without my Mom LOL!) and much to my dismay, they didn’t have the Cheerios display!  They did, however, have TONS of boxes of Cheerios and most of them even has the sendCheer portion on them..

Shopping

After picking up several other items for Thanksgiving, we headed out.  Upon my return home, I set to work trying to make my Easy Peanut Butter Cookies recipe just a bit different by using some Cheerios.  Instead of 1 cup of Flour, I used 1/2 cup of Flour and 1/2 cup crushed Cheerios.  It takes a little over 1 cup of Cheerios to equal 1/2 cup of Crushed Cheerios.

Cooking

I, nor any of the boys, could tell a difference in the cookies, but the ones with Cheerios are just a bit better for you and Heart Healthy!  I did notice that they were crispier and took about 3 minutes more to cook than my regular recipe.

Ok, next I helped Zack cut out the Cheer postcard and had him write and decorate it the way he wanted.  It will head out in the mail box tomorrow!

Craft

I will be distributing the other boxes of Cheerios on Thanksgiving Day to friends who have Children and Spouses overseas!

Be sure to do you part to tell out Military and Military Families “thanks” this year!  Cheerios has made it simple!
