I was not aware that you could even cook a Pineapple Upside-Down Cake in a slow cooker until I read this book.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

1 box (18 ounces) yellow cake mix

1/4 cup  melted butter

1/8 cup  brown sugar

1 can (15 ounces)crushed pineapple, with liquid

8 to 12  maraschino cherries, halved

In a 2-quart mixing bowl, make cake batter according to the directions on back of box. In a greased 3 1/2 to 5-quart slow cooker, layer melted butter, brown sugar, pineapple with juice, and cherries. Pour cake batter over the top. Cover and cook on low heat 4-5 hours, or until cake is firm in the center. Makes 8-10 servings.

I have a grand-daughter that just went away to college and I am giving her a slow-cooker for her dorm room. She has never cooked on her own before, so I think that this book will be a big hit with her. I am definitely going to order one to include with the cooker. Thanks so much for posting this review.
