Blogging Basics: What Exactly Does Sponsored Post Mean?

I have had a few people writing to ask my why some of my blogging posts say “sponsored post” at the end when I am not writing a review. Today, I am answering that question here instead of responding to a few questions a week on it.  Actually, it makes me think I need to make a FAQ page. Crud, another thing to add to my never-ending to do list.

If you see a post from me that says “Sponsored Post” at the bottom, that means someone has bought text links from me.  They send me a list of keywords that I should use in my posts, then they pay me for them.

The story is mine unless it also says guest post. I offer several advertising options on my site and the blogging posts are one of them.  As a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom of 3 kids I have to make some money.  I am a product reviewer, but unfortunately coffee pots won’t pay the bills… so, I have to expand to other ways to pay the bills.  I hope no one is offended by the sponsored posts and other ads on my site, but a girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do.

I do have my standards, you still won’t see my blogging about alcohol, drugs, or gambling on my site, unless one slips through on the Google Ad.

Feel free to always ask me questions!  I will respond either via my site or in an email.  You can always reach me at:
