Well, my traffic is up approximately 53% from last month, but my referral traffic is down… big time. What does that mean? It means I have been concentrating my efforts elsewhere and need to get back to getting my links on other blogs. On the plus side, search engine traffic is up big time! If I can keep search engine traffic up AND raise my referral traffic back up, I will be huge. LOL!
Have you been playing along? I started this for January of this year and have really enjoyed watching my stats grow and seeing where everyone else gets their traffic. I have also found that I don’t utilize guest posting, FaceBook, and Twitter as much and I could. So, I have spent a bit of time this year trying to grow the traffic from those. Have you learned anything by playing this game? So, are you ready to play?
Here’s how it works:
- Go into your tracking service (I use Google Analytics) and set the time period for November 1st – November 30th.
- Find the sites that have referred readers to you and put them in order from most sends to lowest. (I only do blogs and small businesses, not big sites!)
- Write a post (like this one) listing your top 10 referrers.
- Grab the Blogger Appreciation Day banner above or button on the sidebar and add it to your site or post.
- Link that post up in my LinkyTools below. (Please do not list your current giveaways!! If you want your giveaways linked, send me ) Scroll down and you will see a list of links, simply add your direct post link to it.

I received referral visits from 178 sources during the month of November! I also want to note that Online Sweepstakes sent me 548 visitors this month.
Twitter sent me 143 and FaceBook sent me 66 for those that are curious
