REVIEW: New Hasbro Card Games

For the second year in a row, Hasbro is introducing a new layer of excitement to traditional card game play. Hasbro’s newest games, Sorry! Revenge and Yahtzee Hands Down, offer fast-paced fun for just $6.99.

We have reviewed some Hasbro card games before and the boys LOVE them.  Mom loves them too because we don’t have to worry about a million tiny pieces with the dog and Tank. icon smile REVIEW: New Hasbro Card Games   To be honest, I almost wish we didn’t already have these to review because at only 7 dollars each, they make GREAT stocking stuffers. icon smile REVIEW: New Hasbro Card Games

CF8B640719B9F36910187D378A380FD8 REVIEW: New Hasbro Card Games Sorry! Revenge: For 2 to 4 players.   Ages 6 and up.

Win the race to flip all of your pawn cards home and sweet revenge is yours! Take turns to play number and action cards to change the play pile’s total. Get the pile to 21 without going bust to get one of your pawn cards home. But watch out – someone could play a SORRY! card and steal your win!

Includes 109 cards, 1 reminder card and instructions.

Mom Says:  Oh this was by far our favorite of the two.  The game play instructions were pretty clear and it was fairly simple to play.  I have boys… they love a game that allows them to “be mean” to each other without getting in trouble. LOL!  The only thing is we are a family of 5, so when Tank gets old enough someone is going to have to sit it out. icon sad REVIEW: New Hasbro Card Games

CF84E86E19B9F369107FEA36930D83C6 REVIEW: New Hasbro Card Games Yahtzee Hands Down: For 2 to 6 players.   Ages 8 and up.

Keep your wits about you and your eye on the cards! Collect dice cards to make classic combinations: 3 of a kind, 4 of a kind, small straight, large straight, full house and YAHTZEE! Re-roll by discarding cards you don’t need and taking a chance on new ones. But here’s the twist – pit your hand against another player’s. Score high and win the Combo card points. It’s great YAHTZEE fun in a card game!

Includes 12 combo cards, 12 chance cards, 84 dice cards, 1 starter card, 1 reminder card, 1 combo sheet and instructions.

Mom Says: I know that I am weird… I have NEVER played Yahtzee in my life… maybe my Catholic parents thought it was too close to gambling or maybe I had too much other junk, who knows. LOL!  Anyway, I have no way of comparing this to the regular version, but I can say that we have all had a good time with this.  It was a bit hard to remember what “counts” and what doesn’t, so I had to keep the instructions out.  But, all-in-all, another point for Hasbro!

Final thought: One day I am going to get a product by Hasbro and I am going to hate it.  LOL!  I am ALWAYS happy with the uniqueness and quality of Hasbro games and toys and can’t imagine ever not being happy!
