We have another week of learning about Pirates coming this week, so I did some searching for more Pirate Themed Recipes.
First, I want to say that the Captain Crunch Chicken from last week’s menu was to DIE for! Everyone loved it and it will be added to our regular recipe spreadsheet.
Monday: Tropical Island Chicken and Green Salad
Tuesday: Blackbeard’s Cannon Balls (ok, so it actually Busy Day BBQ Meatballs but I am not telling my kids that LOL!) and Peg Leg Salad (plain potato salad… again, not telling the kids!
Wednesday: Zesty Chicken, Yellow Rice, and Steamed Veggies
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Dance starts tonight (I think… might be next week, guess I need to look it up) so, we will probably be going out to eat.
We are supposed to be doing pirates all month in homeschool, but I am running dry on recipes and am now just making up new names for some of our recipes. LOL! I could really use some ideas, please please share links or recipes in the comments!

Oh that is too funny! I’ve been working on a pirate cookbook for about 2 years now and have been ignoring it for the past three months. Have you seen this google book?

I wouldn’t say it is authentic (since authentic pirate fate = largely yucky), but it is fun! Enjoy your little buccaneers!
Zom G.´s last [type] ..Vegetable Recovery Plan
@Zom G., I looked it over and saved it. Most of it I can’t do as I am allergic to seafood.

I love the idea of themed food, especially for the kids, it can be a great way of getting them to try new things. Thanks for the insperation my nephew and niece will love these recipe ideas.
Cupcakes are great as a themed dessert you can put practically anything on them e.g. blue frosting in waves with a toy ship on top.
