How did it get to be time for Blogger Appreciation Day already? I am starting to panic! School starts in 4 days and I am not even close to ready. I still have to buy supplies AND get Tripp’s homeschool stuff ready. Anyway, that is beside the point. 
So, I told you that I would do a giveaway this month as part of Blogger Appreciation Day. I didn’t have time to contact any companies about sponsoring a giveaway, so I am giving away a full month of ad space on my blog – 65 dollar value! It is really simple to win, all you have to do is play along!
Here’s how it works:
- Go into your tracking service (I use Google Analytics) and set the time period for July 1st – July 31st.
- Find the sites that have referred readers to you and put them in order from most sends to lowest. (I only do blogs, not be sites!)
- Write a post (like this one) listing your top 10 referrers.
- Grab the Blogger Appreciation Day picture and add it to your site or post.
- Link that post up in my LinkyTools below. (Please do not list your current giveaways!! I had to delete a ton from the 40 Days/Elmer’s posts. )

I have just checked GA and I get a very low number of blogs referring people to my blog. Perhaps my blog is too new to be well known? It is well written and has a bounce rate of less than 1%, so must be decent. Any tips for getting blog referrals to my blog?

I love the idea of recognizing blogs that link to you and provide traffic. There is so much to be gained from working together versus always competing for visitors.
