Savvy Parenting 101: Watch Your Language Lady!

138 Savvy Parenting 101: Watch Your Language Lady! When I was approved to the JuiceBox Jungle network, I was warned by some of my blogging peers at the inappropriateness of some of their content.  So far, I have been very lucky.  Today, I received an email asking me to tell my readers about Evenflo’s newest webisode: “Savvy Parenting: How to Recover From a Potty Mouth Moment”

You are all about to learn something about me that most people would never guess… I tend to say bad words!  Not seriously bad words, but not really words I should be using.  In fact, I was in the backyard the other day and I saw a HUGE spider web.  I asked my husband, “OH MAN!  Did you see that biga… spider web!?”  Later that day my 3 year old asked Ricky where that, “biga.. spider was!’  Oops!  #ParentingFail!

With that said, the “F-word” is just not something used in our household.  In fact, if I hear it within ear shot of my children, I very nicely tell the person (no matter how big or scary they look) to please watch their language around my kids!  Is it wrong for people to talk that way?  In my opinion… NO!  They are just words, after all. But, I don’t want it around my children.  All of my kids have a very large vocabulary.  They are intelligent enough to use other words to get their point across.  As a mom, I get to choose what my kids hear and that word (among others) is not something I want them hearing!

So, anyway, off my soapbox. icon smile Savvy Parenting 101: Watch Your Language Lady!   Evenflo has just released the Momentum 65 DLX Convertible Car Seat, with features that help make safety, installation and use as easy as possible for parents. Evenflo and JuiceBox Jungle sponsored me to write this post.  Evenflo’s video about the Potty Mouth, really offended me!  You have never and probably will never see it on your television, but things like this pop up on the internet!  Warning, although the words are beeped out, it is very obvious what is being said! To watch the video, click the picture above.

Savvy Parenting 101: Watch Your Language Lady! Did you watch the video?  What is your opinion?  Did you laugh while watching it or were you grinding your teeth the entire time?  Can you relate to the mom in the video or are you deeply offended by her behavior?

oh man…I have to reprimand myself for cursing! It’s not necessary to do and I don’t feel better anyway. My hubby said we should really say what’s on our mind…so when I stub my toe and say SH$#…I am going to say “OUCH THAT HURT”
I am not in the same category as the mom in the video and I laughed only because SERIOUSLY…are there mom’s out there that do that!?!?!

Too funny! I had to watch them all. I loved the bruised ego one..I can relate to getting that car seat in after going through it with 3 kids. Makes me want that car seat if it snaps in that easily.

@Melinda, I am so terrified of car seats! I am a worrier, anyway and have a really vivid imagination! Seems I worry that we are going to wreck and catch on fire (or run off a bridge and start sinking) and I am not going to be able to get my child out of the car seat. To me it is easy to get them in but VERY difficult to get them out
