CONTEST DAY 9: Elmer’s 40 Days of Earth-Friendly Living

Elmer’s is making it easier to be eco-friendly on Earth Day – and beyond. To coincide with the 40^th anniversary of Earth Day, Elmer’s is inviting parents to get involved in the Elmer’s Glue Crew through the “40 Days of Earth-Friendly Living.” The campaign kicks-off on Earth Day (today) and offers a 40-day calendar of eco-friendly tips and ideas for parents and children to do together.

APRIL 30th – Day #9

Start a garden to grow your own vegetables and fruit – you’ll not only be more green, you’ll save green, too!  If this isn’t possible, support your local growers!

Mom Says: Our yard is full of trees!   How do you save paper?  I am really bad about printing everything.  I like to hold things in my hand.  But, I do two things with my printed papers.

I flip it over and print on the other side

I flip it and let the boys color on the blank side

I let the boys make paper airplanes with it.

If any of the above has been done and I am done with the paper, I shred it and recycle it!

IMPORTANT NOTE:

From March 28 – May 1, 2010, Bankers Box will donate $1 for every carton of its select products sold at www.officedepot.com, Office Depot stores, or through Office Depot’s Business Solutions division.

For  every $1 donation, the Arbor Day Foundation will plant a tree in one of the nation’s forests – up to 10,000 trees.
