OH MY GOSH! My microwave oven is dying! When you turn it on, sometimes it only runs for a few seconds before it shuts totally off. When I say “totally” I mean it. It is like the power goes off. The time resets to zero and everything. Some times we even have to unplug and re-plug it to be able to push buttons again. My Samsung Microwave really isn’t that old, but it is used CONTINUOUSLY, so maybe it is just worn out.
I wish this would have happened before Christmas so I could have asked for one as a present. LOL! I do not have the money to go purchase one,
What am I going to do? How do humans survive without microwaves? I am not quite 30 (6 days!), so you know I have pretty much had a microwave my entire life. Or at least as long as I have been old enough to use one.
I have talked about it and talked about it, but I guess now is the time to get that over-the-range microwave oven I have always wanted. Everyone I have ever known has countertop microwaves… so, my question is which do you prefer? White, colored or stainless steel microwaves? Brands? I need some input since I am going to have to go farther in debt by getting a new microwave. EEK! Maybe Sam’s Club will want to send me one for review… hmm, wonder if I have a contact there I can talk to? LOL!

A year or two ago, my microwave died, too. When I called the manufacturer (GE), the rep said that it would be less expensive to replace it than to repair it. Our replacement is also a GE, and it’s black … just because it matches the stove.

I have a Sunbeam that I have had for about 5 years .I use it daily(usually more than once a day) sometimes 5-10 times and for etended periods and it is still going strong.My son even put/cooked a bean bag type dinosaur in it not long after I got it and even though it got black inside from the toy ,after cleaning it still worked fine! It is a white countertop style I think I got it at either Walmart or Kmart but not sure.
