Last week I asked for idea of how you do your menu planning. Several of my readers gave me great ideas for trying new recipes and Melissa of FrugalCreativity gave me some ideas of how to plan my recipes.
So, I got busy and found a neat website that offers the BEST menu planning sheets I have ever found. It costs about 10 dollars a year to print more than one thing, but it was WELL worth the 10 dollars in my opinion!
- I pulled all my recipes out that we like AND brainstormed all the recipes we like that I don’t use recipes for.
- I made a sheet of all my recipes, sorted in the following categories:
- One Pot Recipe
- Crock Pot Recipe
- Side Dishes
- Pork Dishes
- Chicken Dishes
- Beef Dinner
- I also have a folder of all the recipes that I want to try but haven’t yet. I will pull one or so a week to add into the menu plan. Plus, this way, I don’t have to pull tons of stuff out. Simply my menus and my list of recipes.
So, here is my new grocery list now that I have a great planning system.
Hopefully this will also spur me on to typing up more of my recipes, since I can’t link to them. LOL!
Monday – Crock Pot Pizza
Tuesday – BBQ Chicken, Potato Salad, Broccoli
Wednesday – Frito Pie (Tripp got to choose, LOL!)
Thursday – Easy Italian Meatloaf, Potatoes & Cheese, Green Beans, Garlic Bread
Friday – Shake that Chicken and Cheesy Cheddar Potato Boats (NEW)
