When New Year’s comes around, many of us make pretty steep resolutions, but we don’t think about making them for other family members. When Laura pitched Pedia-Lax® Fiber Gummies to me, I was shocked that improving my children’s health was not something I had ever thought of as a resolution! So, I felt guilty for a bit then asked her to please send them to me!
Introduced in 2009, Pedia-Lax® Fiber Gummies, are a daily fiber supplement made just for kids by Fleet®, a trusted brand for digestive health for more than 100 years. So many kids lack the proper amount of fiber in their diets, but wrinkle their little noses at the kinds of foods that will add it in (my kids love to say “Mom, I don’t WANT brown bread!”). Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies are a great, tasty and sugar-free way to get some much-needed fiber into your little ones’ diets.
Product information:
In 2009 the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) significantly increased the recommended daily fiber intake standards, far above the previous "age plus five" rule. In fact, today’s updated guidelines recommend 25 grams of fiber per day for four-year-old children. But how do we meet these requirements and get our children to eat high in fiber foods? … especially with the holidays around the corner and busy schedules kicking into gear.
Now there’s a delicious, dentist approved, daily fiber supplement to help kids ages 2-11 maintain better digestive health and stay regular.* The penguin-shaped, great tasting Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies are sugar-free, calorie-free, gluten-free and made with natural fruit flavors. With a recommended serving of three gummies every day, (equal to ½ cup of broccoli!), Fiber Gummies are a great way to supplement the fiber found in fruits, vegetables and other fiber-rich foods in your child’s daily diet. It’s a great solution to help bridge the gap between the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended amount of fiber and the fiber that kids actually consume in their daily diet.
Suggested retail price is $7.99 for a bottle of 60 gummies; available at Target and Walgreens, also online and other supermarkets and retailers nationwide.
The Deal:
Be sure to visit www.fibergummies.com to get a $1.00 off coupon and use the “store locator” to see where the product is sold in your area. And, because we know getting kids to eat foods high in fiber without complaint is a challenge faced by many moms the Web site also offers helpful tips on how to incorporate a high-fiber diet into a busy family’s lifestyle with tips for meal planning and easy-to-make recipes on the Web site, too.
Mom Says: Ok, because I am a good mom, I won’t feed my kids anything without tasting it first. They were not bad… not great, but I don’t like gummies.
Tripp (10) was not impressed. He thought they tasted like cough-medicine and said he would rather eat wheat bread.
Zack (7) said they were “OK” and he could eat them once a day or so.
Tank (3) LOVED them and cried when I wouldn’t give him more.

If you don’t drink enough water the fiber will actually constipate you

My kids have vitamins eceryday – but these would be great!
I like the Awards System they have.
Fiber can actually work against you and constipate you if you’re not properly hydrated!
The recommended daily serving of 3 Fiber Gummies can be taken separately or all together.
My niece has been taking these since she turned 2 in July – they really work!!

I learned Fiber is what your mom used to call “roughage”. Basically, it’s the indigestible portion of all the plants that we eat – fruits, vegetables, grains, and beans – that help keep us regular. It’s a lot more than just lettuce and spinach. A diet rich in fiber plays an important role in proper gastrointestinal function.
