Did Someone Move Me North While I Wasn’t Looking?

Holy Cow!!  It is down-right cold here in Southern Alabama!  I don’t know how I am going to survive until NEXT Monday!  I might have to get a ceramic tower heater for the playroom since it doesn’t have enough insulation and stays cold (or hot, depending on the weather… LOL!)

  • Today: High 42, Low 20
  • Tuesday: High 45, Low 24
  • Wednesday: High 49, Low 34
  • Thursday: High 52, Low 25 (wow, that is a BIG change through the day!)
  • Friday: High 37, Low 21 (oh YIKES!!!)
  • Saturday: High 45, Low 26
  • Sunday: High 46, Low 37 (getting there!)
  • Monday: High 54, Low 43 (Thank goodness!!!)

I mean, honestly… it does get cold here and sometimes colder than this, but it NEVER lasts more than a few hours.  This is just plain wacky!  Do you realize how stir-crazy my kids are going to be after being stuck inside?   Down here, we just don’t have patio heaters because they really aren’t necessary.  But, with the cold sticking around this long, it makes you want to rethink purchasing a table top heater or something to get the kids out! :-)

Oh gosh! It just dawned on me… they might cancel school, too!!  That means, Ricky is going to be stuck inside also!  Vacation time…. hmmm, I am thinking on it!

I’m with you… I live in FL and it’s cold… Low 30 and high 52. Kids stuck inside and even though I turned the heat on to 65 it’s still cold!

It’s cold and windy here, too. This morning I think the wind-chill was around 10 degrees. Luckily for me, I get to stay home in my sweats all day! LOL

Karyn, it is CRAZY, isn’t it? I really don’t like it. If I wanted my bones cold, I would move away from the Hurricanes. ;-)

I feel your pain! I am a born and (mostly) raised GA girl living in Ohio now. Our highs are LOW 20s. And our lows, I don’t want to think about those. It’s cold! And it won’t stop snowing!
