GIVEAWAY: Tassimo T20 Brewbot Home Brewing System

tassimo logo GIVEAWAY: Tassimo T20 Brewbot Home Brewing SystemI am not a coffee drinker, so when I was approached about reviewing the Tassimo T20 Brewbot I was hesitant at first.  Then, I decided that I would be receiving it before Christmas, so it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a coffee pot for the family when they came for Christmas Breakfast.  Boy am I glad I agreed!  I LOVE this thing.  It doesn’t just make coffee, but Cappuccinos, Lattes, and even Hot Chocolate.

Details:

  • Comes in white or black finish plus you can purchase the accessory kits separately to really jazz up your Brewbot with several different colors!
  • Makes coffee, tea, cappuccino, latte, crema, espresso, and hot cocoa in approximately 1 minute.
  • Includes an exclusive flow–through water heater for faster, quieter brewing
  • Space saving design ideal for apartments, dorm rooms and countertops
  • Smart bar code technology allows the brewer to adjust each beverage with the proper temperature pressure and amount of water

Mom Says: Even if you don’t drink coffee, it is a good idea to have a pot in your home for company.  With the Brewbot’s T-Discs, you don’t have to make en entire pot for one person!  Besides, the Milka Hot Chocolate is fabulous. It isn’t super sweet like some hot cocoas can be.  Yum!

Blogging Basics: Always Be Prepared

The Boy Scouts really know what they are talking about – you should always be prepared even with your blog. This Blogging Basics post is about being prepared.  I know you should do it, even though I have gotten behind. icon smile Blogging Basics: Always Be Prepared  This Blogging Basics post is about me speaking from experience. LOL!

Choose a day of the week or a time each day to work on upcoming blog posts so that you stay ahead of the game.  Unfortunately, I did not follow my own advice.  So, I am still out of town and trying to get a post written this morning so that my blog doesn’t appear dead.

One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to get ahead.  I am a couple posts that get done a weekly basis and I plan to start the year writing as many as I can and getting this scheduled soon.  I also plan to get some “filler” posts written and saved as drafts that way I can easily select one and put it on any day I need it.  Every blogger who considers blogging their business should set their time up for this.

My best Blogging Basics ideas for getting ahead and staying ahead:

Always write more than one! If you have specific posts that go on each week (Examples for 3 Boys and a Dog):  Monday is Menu Plan Monday, Wednesday is Blogging Basics, and Saturday is Web Wide Weekend Wrap Up) you can begin crafting them weeks in advance and start scheduling them in!  Pull out your calendar (I use BusyBodyBooks) and pencil in each time you schedule a post.  Hopefully within a few short weeks you will be a month ahead on several days.

Save some random posts!  Write posts that aren’t for specific days and save them for a rainy day.  I did this for quite some time and actually have a few that can be typed up for the future, but I haven’t had time.  I would have been nice to have had them ready now!

Keep a few quick guest posters on hand!  You know (or should know… try My Blog Guest) a couple people who like to guest post on your site and can turn a post around in a couple hours.  They are great for vacation situations!

Plan ahead!  As you are writing your regular weekly posts and random posts, go ahead and look ahead in your calendar.  Do you have a busy time coming up?  A vacation coming?  Instead of slotting that weekly post into next week, slot it into 3 weeks from now when you will be out of town.  Then, when you do more slot it into 2 months from now when the kids will be getting out of school.

I am curious, what do you do to keep your blog ahead of yourself?

Menu Plan Monday: Shopping and Scrapbooking

I am sitting at a Days Inn in Gulfport, Mississippi writing this post at 6:15 in the morning.  Yes, I am on vacation and I didn’t even sleep in!  Why?  It is actually very simple… I could not sleep!  This hotel room is a bit shoddy and the beds are super uncomfortable.  Seriously, this Days Inn makes me want to write a review that isn’t extremely good. LOL! We will be here for four nights, so I will see how the rest of it goes before deciding.  It is actually pretty funny, this is the second Days Inn that I have stayed at in 2010 and both times were horrible!  On their website, the #1 reason to book with them says, “Satisfaction Guarantee” and I have never been satisfied. ROTFL!

So, I have already said that I am here for four nights, so I can imagine that you are wondering why I am bothering to write a menu plan. I am because I am trying to get back into the habit of doing it each month.

Monday:  Leftover Pizza – we ordered pizza last night because we got ready to leave the room and found that our door wouldn’t shut all the way.  That was AFTER the maintenance man came to fix it because you could barely open it.  Obviously, we couldn’t leave with all our stuff in our room and a door that wouldn’t shut.  Domino’s was super quick and yummy and we have an entire pizza left over.

Tuesday:  I am hoping to talk them into going to Chick-fil-a because it is my favorite fast food restaurant.

Wednesday:  Probably Chili’s because mom’s exchange student has never eaten there.

Thursday: HOME!  I would love to have BBQ Chicken, Potato Salad, and Corn but it will depend on what time I get home.

Friday:  Something and quick, like finger foods… Maybe Rotel Dip

New Year’s Day:  We will be having dinner at Mom’s house and we only have to bring Cabbage, so this is a pretty easy one.

Yep, they want to hear from you. icon smile Charter Communications Moms Panel  Charter Communications is the fourth-largest cable provider in the United States, but can only be found in a few states.  Visit Find a Location to see if you have this cable provider in your area.  They are not in my area, but I do want to let you readers know about this opportunity to have your voice actually heard!

Charter Communications has finally jumped on the Mommy Blogging train and are putting a bit of their focus on what we women want and what we expect for our children.  They have started a new forum on FaceBook called Charter Moms.  It is a page where Moms can weigh in on different issues regarding their child’s television viewing and bounce ideas off of not only each other but Charter as well!  This is definitely something that I wish was available through my local cable company!

Charter Moms will be the first to know about new services and programming, they will participate in discussions and will be consulted on better ways to connect with and entertain families. Just when you thought no one cared, Charter Communications comes out with this.
