Tackle It Tuesday: December 08, 2009

I am totally embarrassed, but I guess that is the point of Tackle It Tuesday over at 5 Minutes for Mom. :-)   Last week, I took on the task of finally getting Blogging Basics started and had lots of responses to my post.  This week, I am tackling my “desk” and it is really bad!

Picture 231 Can you believe how bad I let my desk get?  Everything is on it and not one thing is in order!

So, I loaded up the boys and took off to town.  We went to Office Max (yeah, satisfy my Office Supply Addiction, guess I will have to confess at OSAA – Office Supply Addicts Anonymous).  I finally broke down and bought the [IN] Place System starter kit and a couple other things.  I have wanted the System since I first saw it at Org Junkie’s Review Blog.

Before I could do anything with my desk, I had to get some stuff moved. :-)   Since it is Christmas, the village will be going on the card table I was using for my desk…. in the same spot.  I wanted to set up my 4 – foot folding table in a corner of my kitchen to be my desk.  So, the boys and I spent the day cleaning and moving furniture.

Picture 233This is what I have after moving furniture, organizing files, and cleaning things up.

Yay, me! LOL!  I tell you, it is so much easier to work when you don’t have to shove stuff out of the way.  Wonder how long it will stay this way?  I guess I need to work in some time each week to go through my files and organize my space.

There are two different desks at Office Max that I REALLY want, but I guess I will have to keep wanting until sometime in the future.  We just don’t have money to be buying a desk and besides, the folding table works just fine. :-)
