Question to my homeschoolers… how much time do you take off school around Christmas?  I know some take off from about Thanksgiving all the way through the New Year.  Is this you?  Do you take off 100% or do you still do a bit?  When do you learn about Christmas?

Well, CurrClick has a great book from Teacher Book bag that is only $1.99!

Created for first through fifth graders, this book incorporates logical, mathematical, deductive and spatial reasoning skills. We only take off about 2 weeks.  Since Zack is in public school, we stick with his schedule.

I do homeschooling through ECOT (electronic classroom of tomorrow)
My kids have a teacher and do online class daily for about an hour with the teacher and other students in their class, the also have to take all state tests and progress monitoring, but the rest is up to the parents.I love ECOT, my kids get memberships to many online educational sites like Brain Pop,Envision Math, Story Town etc. and get prizes sent in the mail for doing a good job.Example-Frischs Big Boy free kids meals, free Wendys frostys,Free Pizza Hut pizzas as well as pencils, stickers etc.
They only get the week before Christmas until the first week of January off.

That sounds really neat! I have never heard of that school. Do you add in things you want or do you just go straight down their plan? How do you feel this is different than regular school? Simply curious, is all! :-)
