Plaque has a positive charge. The enamel on your teeth has a negative charge. As opposites, they attract and stick, making plaque hard to remove. The Ionic ProClean temporarily changes the enamel to a charge so that plaque can be lifted away by the brush.

Visited http://www.ionicproclean.com never knew how reasonably priced the products were or exactly how ionic toothbrushes worked.
