Midwest Dairy Council has developed an informative lesson plan called "Make Change" that will educate and empower students to "make change" in their diets and wallets by choosing nutrient-rich, cost-saving snacks!

This website provides a TON of information to help you in teaching your kids about Dairy!

Make Change" Classroom Materials

  1. Lesson Plan
    Two-part lesson plan outline designed to educate tweens and teens about the importance of healthy snacking from nutritional and economic perspectives.
  2. Supporting Materials: Lesson I
    1. PowerPoint presentation containing supportive messaging and images for the "Make Change" lesson plan and classroom activities
    1. Worksheet to help students learn to read nutritional labels
  3. Supporting Materials: Lesson II
    1. PowerPoint presentation containing supportive messaging and images for the "Make Change" lesson plan and classroom activities
    1. Quiz to test students’ knowledge on the nutritional and economic value of favorite snacks.
  4. Poster
    Downloadable poster for the classroom, nurses office or common areas featuring the "Make Change" message and nutrient information.
