CLOSED: Yo Gabba Gabba Halloween DVD Review & Giveaway

Are you ready for Halloween? Our house is getting that way and the boys couldn’t be more excited. Even though we are Christians, we have a different view on Halloween than a good portion do. I hope my Spooktacular Soiree does not upset my many wonderful Christian readers, but I will get more into our thoughts on another post. In the meantime, I am bringing you many Daunting Days of Gruesome Giveaways for my Spooktacular Soiree!

Yes, I am one of those weird moms. I do not mind my kids watching TV. Why? Because it keeps them quiet. LOL! Kidding, it really doesn’t keep them quiet, just ask anyone who has ever tried calling me during the day. My house is NEVER quiet.

I was very excited to be contacted by the guy that works with Nick Jr, about reviewing and giving away this DVD.

Mom Says: If you have little ones, you are definitely familiar with Yo Gabba Gabba. This is a fairly new kids’ show, to me at least. My older two had much more irritating shows. Yes, Yo Gabba Gabba irritates me (as do all preschool television programs), but Thomas absolutely loves it and it does keep him occupied long enough for me to do more difficult things with Tripp. Ricky (yes, my husband) likes it, too, simply because Jack Black was on the television show (not this movie).

As with all Yo Gabba Gabba episodes, this new movie (released on August 25, 2009) teaches many real life rules. Kids learn to be safe, not throw things, eat all your foods (like carrots), and not to be afraid of the dark. Plus, along with a ton of songs, it has 2 of Tank’s favorite songs on it: “Party in My Tummy” and “Danger”.

If your kids like Yo Gabba Gabba, this is a great one to pick up since it is only 16.99 (right now on sale at the Nick Shop for only 14.44!! Plus, remember that you can always find Yo Gabba Gabba on Nickelodeon and Noggin (it’s like preschool on TV- LOL! – and the best investment we EVER made!)

Tank Says: Pway this one gin momma! (Why can toddlers watch the same movie over and over and OVER, but 2 seconds with a toy and they are sick of it?)

As a side note: Tank’s favorite character is Brobee . He only sleeps with two stuffed animals: 1 small Brobee and 1 large Brobee that speaks!

Then I went to http://www.nickjr.com/yo-gabba-gabba/about-yo-gabba-gabba/yo-gabba-gabba-characters_ap.html because I know nothing about the characters. It looks like a great show and a great website.
