Have you noticed that neat little Beauty Tip of The Day widget at the top of my right sidebar? We are into another 4 weeks of beauty tips and this time, I have something for my readers!
Pay close attention since this giveaway will be slightly different than my others.
I was sent the above goodies as a thanks for posting the Beauty Tips Widget and so I could try out some of the tips. I keep Q-Tips in my house at ALL times, I use them for a million things:
- Makeup smudges. Dip a Q Tip in moisturizer or makeup remover to selectively swipe away stray mascara, liner or shadow.
- Belly Buttons – Clean out belly buttons (or around an umbilical cord) with a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol
- Fingernail polish off the edges of your cuticles with nail polish remover.
- Apply highlighter to tricky areas like the inner corners of your eyes or your Cupid’s bow.
- Create smoky eyes by smudging color into the lashes with a Q-tip.
- Apply self-tanner inside stretch marks to hide them or other small spots you missed.
- Sticky Noses – if you have little ones, you have sticky boogers that will not wipe off. Rub a Q-tip around the inside of the nose and it collects those slimy things!
- Faucets & Drains – Find it hard to get it clean around faucets and drains? Q-tips!!
- Crevices – Dashboard, computers, televisions, etc. I get into those tiny spots with a trusty Q-tip!
- Zits! – Every product says to put it directly onto the blemish, but the nozzle is much too big and you get it everywhere. Use a Q-tip to dab clearing product directly onto pimple!
Now, I don’t have a list for it, because frankly I do not use Vaseline very often. I use it to get gum out of hair but that is about the extent of my uses.

We use Vaseline for eczema. It works great.

I use it for my chapped lips in the fall and winter. I hate how some others can leave my lips feeling sticky. This just sinks right in and really heals right away. Thanks for the chance! bekki1820cb@gmail.com
I use Q-tips for cleaning ears…I hate when my son has noticeable ear wax. bekki1820cb@gmail.com

I have always used Vaseline on my lips, instead of chapstick.

You know how raw your nose gets after getting a cold and constantly blowing your nose. Your lips get really dry as well. I like to use Vaseline around my nose (I know gross) and on my lips at those times. It doesn’t burn like moisturizer does!

Vasoline works great as a lubricant..
If you’ve ever had something that was supposed to fit..maybe had to pound a peg in a toy or something.or a blade that wont go in a slicer or other appliance.dab vaseline on with a q-tip or makeup wedge and it usually goes in easier.
Also if you have ever had a baby that needed assistance with bowel movements or needed baby suppositories.or had to take a rectal temperature.vaseline helps there too.My son was lactose intolerant and had a horrible time with bowel movements for months until we found the right milk for him.
Can also be used as a “personal” lubricant

My favorite Q- tip use is jewelry..if you want to clean a piece but dont want to pour on or soak it in cleaner..dip a thin q-tip in the cleaning solution and use it to clean, shine etc.Works great for getting around setting or stones >I dont reccomend the extra thick or puffy q-tips as they tend to leave pieces behind

My favorite Vaseline use is for my lips. Whenever they are chapped and flaky (which is often) I glob on the Vaseline and let it soak for at least 15 ins then take a face cloth and wipe it off..and repeat until the nasties are gone. Then I just keep on vaseline for a chap stick kind of thing.

As for Q tips.. I used to use them for applying eye shadow before I purchased my brushes.
It worked well! Now I just use them on my ears.

You can use Vaseline for household repairs too. I have used Vaseline to Soften a Refrigerator Gasket .The plastic seal around the edge of the door loses its elasticity over time and be as tight. So rubbing the seal with petroleum jelly will help soften it up.

My favorite Q-tip use is odd but I’m a crafter that sells cratfs & my seamstress work I do in lots of craft fairs/by word of mouth/and on ebay so I find uses for lots of items others only use for manufactures intentions. I buy Q-tips that have colored stick centers and use them as flowers in my craft floral decorations which is done by gluing them vertically mixed in with other silk flowers and you can add the green floral tape to the stick center part as green tip leaves and the white cotton q-tip end can be left as is for the buds or slightly pull the cotton apart for a puffy flower head look. I also do alot of free hand painting on numerous items like painting onto old windows or tin items or kids clothing like blue jeans etc and Q-tips come in very handy to use as brushes to dot on the paint or use it as a pounching syencil brush as well.

My daughter had an awful time with her hands being so rough and dry. So at night, she started putting Vaseline on her hands and covering them with socks. Since she has started doing this, her hands have become alot smoother
