This post was right up my ally! I am frugal and live as green as possible. I have been teased about saving pop cans for years. It's recycling. I buy pop and trash bags with that money.

My friend calls me the "Trash Lady". It's is amazing the things you find that others consider trash. A little effort and you have a totally cool item.

One of my biggest eco-friendly items are my swiffer covers. Swiffers are so much more effective than the broom and dust pan. I got tired of blowing $6.00 on a box of covers. I knitted mine and I use one for sweeping,. one for damp mopping. I use them for cob webs etc. Throw them in the washer and dryer and don't have to buy those expensive covers.

I use cloth napkins. For a birthday party I will splurge and buy paper napkins but everything else gets cloth napkins. This is not so much of a money saver initially, but if you use cloth napkins for years, it does add up!

Have a wonderful day!
