When Martha of n-fini shape allowed me to review one of their Shapewear products, I was super excited! I am not overweight and can still look decent when going out with my husband, but (isn’t there always that “but”?) my back fat lops over my bra and those pesky love-handles hang over the waist of my pants! So, although I am still thin by most people’s standards, I do not feel comfortable in those adorable little fitted tops that are all the rage. Consequently, now my standard uniform is a little more forgiving – jeans or wind-pants and an over-sized t-shirt. Oh, I still have some of those cute tops (hey, we can all dream!) and I try them on regularly, but there is no way I could actually wear them in public without a jacket over them.

Friday, I received my Double V-Neck Tank Shaper Bra in nude and I put it on as quickly as I could! After all, I had plans to go out to eat and shopping with my boys. Can I wear this thing and feel better about myself? Can I wear one of those cute tops that are in my closet without feeling too old and out of shape for it? Aside from those, I had several other worries about my new shapewear. I will address each of those worries with the answer to them.
1. Will it actually work and will you be able to tell I am wearing it?
My husband, ever the Politician, would not help me out with the above concerns AT ALL!
Me: “Well? How do I look?’
Him: “You always look good, babe.”
Me: “Come on! Seriously! Can you tell a difference with this thing on?”
Him: after a short pause…”So, where did you say you wanted to eat?”
OK, so I don’t know if it actually did anything (from someone else’s prospective) but, my dress pants fit better and my cute top hung so much neater. I felt like I looked good! Isn’t that what really matters? My husband would obviously say I look good in a potato sack, but how would I feel in it? How we feel is what really matters!
This thing is so obviously made for a woman! It has a lighter fabric at the breast area that is contoured to fit around our female parts
So, your breasts go into that area and it lifts, separates, and shapes them. Mine didn’t look this good 3 kids ago!
I have hips and that stupid little pudge we women get… you know the one I am talking about! So, everything tends to roll up past the hip and belly pudge to that indention where my waist is supposed to be. This didn’t! I simply could not believe it… I kept waiting on it happen sometime with sitting, riding in a car, bending over to the children, squatting down to the children, carrying the baby. Nope, nothing! It stayed exactly where it was supposed to be!
-
it is seamless
-
it is tag less
-
the weight is more evenly distributed so I didn’t have straps digging into my shoulders
-
there is no metal clasp!
I know that I sound super excited about this product and that is because I am… but, there is one down-side to it… I can’t just throw it in the washer like I do my bras. It must be hand-washed and line dried. I know, most people have lots of clothes that have to be handled that way but I try not to purchase anything that must be hand-washed and line dried. LOL! Lazy? Yeah, probably.
Also, I thought I was going to have to get on here and really do some complaining about how difficult this thing is to get off. I fought it forever trying to get it back over my head… almost pulled my arm out of socket tugging and pulling. I ended up calling my husband in to help me get out of it! Of course, he laughed and laughed at me saying, “Good thing you didn’t get the bottoms! How on earth would you have gone to the bathroom?” Then, as I was doing more research to write up my review, I read the directions in the paperwork Martha sent me. I was supposed to step into in and then pull it down to step back out. HA HA HA! Naturally, I had to try that. AMAZING! It wasn’t difficult! You just need to read the directions
So, the burning question in all of my readers minds… “Would Kelli recommend this product?” In a heart-beat! In fact, I am planning to get one for my best friend for after she has her first baby. But, I am getting it now so I can take advantage of their promotion. What? You want to take advantage of their promotion, too? Ok, here is the info:
