Celebrate Chocolate Truffles Review & Giveaway

CONTEST CLOSED – WINNER ANNOUNCED

I find it hard to believe that there is a girl alive that doesn’t like chocolate. So, when Laura contacted me about doing a review on her “chocolates that are good for you, I was skeptical and had to check out her site. My “Southern Belle Sensabilities” were offended by the sensual nature of the photos on her site. The idea that chocolate is sexual floored me! I quickly emailed her back and let her know that the photos bothered by prudish self so I didn’t think it would be a good idea for me to review her products.
Laura was so sure of her products that she said, “I really love your blog and admire you as a person – I am going to send you some anyway so you can experience my wonderful chocolates.” She did, and I was amazed that these chocolates really are pretty good.
No, they are not milk chocolate and they are not sweet, but they really taste good. My favorite are the cocoa covered almonds and my husband really liked the cherry truffles.
What they say about their Celebrate Truffles:
Celebrate maximizes your nutrition with concentrated nutrients from a rich bounty of 59 whole foods. Plus, it increases your omega-3/DHA, and boosts your antioxidants with premium cocoa. That’s over 5 times the normal range of 12 foods you typically get – and not one of them is a French fry.
To get your own, you may purchase them at Celebrate Life Nutrition. You may also try to win some here at 3 Boys & a Dog! You will win both boxes pictured above

Carolina Pad Eye Candy Review

Picture+001 Carolina Pad Eye Candy Review If you know anything about me, you know I have an honest to goodness addiction… ok, a couple of them, but we are only going to address one today. icon smile Carolina Pad Eye Candy Review I LOVE office supplies! ALL office supplies! I would rather have paper, pens, notebooks, and binders than shirts, dresses, or shoes!

So, when I was given the chance to review Carolina Pad’s Eye Candy line, I was super excited. Carolina Pad has a bunch of super adorable things and you can find them everywhere: Walmart & Target both carry their products. Gwen sent me two items from review.

Picture+002 Carolina Pad Eye Candy Review#1 – IDEAL PADFOLIO 9.75 inches by 8.50 inches. This is great! It comes with an 80 sheet notebook that slips out so you can put a new one in when this one is full. I am definitely going to get a ton of use out of it. I can see me taking it to conferences. Because of the little pockets in front, I can stick my id, cash, & receipts in it. It also has a loop for your pen. It is perfect for on the go blog posts. I am also planning to take it with me for summer fun with the boys, because everything fits in this small vinyl carrier & I can write to my heart’s content.

#2 – ORGANIZATIONAL FOLDER: 8 full-sized plastic pockets all held together to form a neat spiral notebook. I know exactly what I am going to use it for: Homeschooling! I had been trying to think of a way to keep Tripp’s notes & worksheets together without it taking tons of room – well, this is perfect! Here is how I am going to organize it:
Pocket 1 – Weekly Chore Chart
Pocket 2 – Monday
Pocket 3 – Tuesday
Pocket 4 – Wednesday
Pocket 5 – Thursday
Pocket 6 – Friday
Pocket 7 – Completed Work
Pocket 8 – Extra Blank Paper

Plus, I can really see ideas for other things and hope to get to Walmart to pick up a couple more! Teacher stuff, menu planning & recipes, bills to pay. I love the bright, fun colors!

Homeschooling Notes: May 29th

I can’t believe school is over, can you? Since my middle boy is in public school, we keep the same schedule he does. I am going to have them read for Splish’s Reading Splash this summer and hope to do some “field trips” but mainly we are just going to play outside in the pool this summer.

I am also going to try to get everything ready for school this summer. When I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING! I want all info put into my Homeschool Tracker and I want to be prepared with 180 journaling topics. In order to have this accomplished, I have to get everything ordered that I want us to do. So, I placed another order at Sonlight on Tuesday and will continue doing this until I have everything we want. Unfortunately, I keep finding stuff all over the Internet that I want, so I don’t see how I will ever get it all ordered. LOL!

My newest Sonlight order:

RECORDER (INSTRUMENT)

NINE-NOTE RECORDER METHOD

DRAW SQUAD, MARK KISTLER’S

EVERYTHING IS COMING UP FRACTIONS

SAXON MATH 5/4 3E HOMESCHL KIT

DIVE CD MATH 5/4 – 3RD ED

LANG ARTS 3+4 IG

That leaves us with about ten more items I want to order from Sonlight to the tune of another 265 dollars worth… but, I should have that done in about two weeks. So, it isn’t really bad… but, then as I said, I have some other things that I want to get. I will keep you guys updated on my purchases!

On top of that, I am going to do some household rearranging so that we have a better system for homeschool organization. DH’s last day is today (he is a teacher) so the summer looks very promising for getting that “honey do” list completed. icon smile Homeschooling Notes: May 29th
